Kent IT targets continued growth with ultra-high broadband provision from ntl:Telewest Business

ntl:Telewest Business, the supplier of communications services to the public and private sectors, has provided Kent IT with significant broadband capabilities. The increased broadband provision will enable Kent IT to enhance its new data centre at The Maidstone Studios, offering new services to its 300-plus customers throughout Kent and Sussex.

ntl:Telewest Business has provided Kent IT with a 20Mb (megabit) connection to allow for an increase in bandwidth between its data centre and its customers. Increasing numbers of customers with ever growing data demands meant that Kent IT needed wider bandwidth than the existing ADSL links that it was using. ntl:Telewest Business’ cable enables 20Mb of traffic but can scale by five times that amount, up to 100Mb, to enable Kent IT to grow its customer base further with subsequent increases in bandwidth use.
